Oncology Nurse Navigator, Breast and Gynecologic - Memorial Hermann Southeast Region
Belynder “Belle” Ouko-Kendrick received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso and has been working as an oncology nurse for more than 10 years. Belle began her career as a nurse in oncology services right out of college and has never looked back. Belle enjoys serving the oncology population and finds caring for cancer patients very rewarding. Prior to becoming an oncology nurse navigator at Memorial Hermann, she was a clinical case manager at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she oversaw the continuum of care planning for post-hospital acute care services.
Belle is a member of the American Case Management Association and the Oncology Nursing Society, is an avid foodie and loves to travel. She sees working in the oncology field as a privilege and is passionate about being an advocate for her patients.
“I have worked with only cancer patients my entire nursing career. So, oncology is not just a career, but a calling,” Belle says. “I am passionate about assisting patients and their families as they navigate the cancer journey. I’d like to be the go-to person – the friend that will pray with you, cry and laugh with you, or just be there to listen.”
