Canopy - Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center
Reopening Under COVID-19 Safety Measures
Memorial Hermann has begun a phased approach to safely resume services to address ongoing community medical needs. Phase One starts with diagnostic and imaging procedures, like MRIs, mammograms and biopsies, and then progresses cautiously all the way back to elective surgeries and procedures coming fully back online in Phase Three. If at any time, there is a need to pull this back or adapt this plan to best address the COVID-19 pandemic, rest assured that Memorial Hermann would quickly make necessary postponements and cancellations as needed.
With this in mind, the Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center reopens slowly on Monday, April 27, 2020 with the guidelines below. We believe as people receive cancer diagnoses, it is important to have a survivorship center like Canopy available for comfort and support. Please know we did not make this decision lightly. We met with volunteers, spoke with past guests, and met with hospital administration. We believe our plan is safe, cautious and responsible.
This is merely the early stage of Canopy’s reopening, please do look for more details to follow in the coming weeks once classes and activities may begin to come in a limited fashion too. In the meantime, we wish you all the very best and encourage you to call Canopy Manager Amanda Poole at 713.897.5938 or the main number at 713.897.5939. you may also email Amanda.Poole@memorialhermann.org for more information.
